This issue of the Annual is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Russian researcher of the French history Albert Zakharovich Manfred (1906-1976). The first section of the issue presents the memories of people who knew the scientist, and articles about his work. The second section contains the works of Russian and French researchers on the history of Napoleon, the hero of one of the best books of Manfred.
