Presidents of the French republic in the evaluation of Yu.I. Rubinsky

The author presents the latest work of the famous Soviet and Russian historian, political scientist, and diplomate Yu.I. Rubinsky. The title of the three-volume book is “Signes of the Time”. The French studies specialist has included there his best works (articles and chapters in collective monographs) devoted to the most varied aspects of the history of modern France and published over the past 10 years. The author of the article focused his attention on studies of Yu.I. Rubinsky, devoted to the achievements of the heads of the French State – the Republic Presidents – Charles de Gaulle, Valerie Giscard d’Estaing, Nicolas Sarcozy, François Hollande and Emmanuel Macron. At the same M.Ts. Arzakanian, following the author of the three-volume edition, pointed out some remarkable moments of French foreign and domestic policy of these presidents, as well as what real contribution each of them made to the history of their country.
