Once again on Babeuf: a new book by Claude Mazauric

This essay is a review of the new book by Cl. Mazauric “Gracchus Babeuf” (Montreuil: Le temps de cerises, 2020). The authors compares the Mazauric's ideas of this work with his earlier statements presented in the previous book on Babeuf published in 1962. The author of the review draws attention to the non-standard structure of the new book and the difficulty of relating it to a particular genre. Also she emphasizes the very emotional, personal nature of this scientific publication. Mazauric's book is devoted to the communist idea entirely and not only to Babeuf: there is a chapter on Marx and Engels for instance.
