This issue of the Annual is devoted to the past and present of the left-wing political tradition in French public life. In the first section of issue authors of articles examine the various aspects of the political practice of the left forces from the the French Revolution to the Restoration. The second part deals with the history of the left-wing parties and movements in France of the 20th beginning of 21th century.
