The French monarchy of the Ancient Regime in studies by L.A. Pimenova

This article is dedicated to the analysis of the L.A. Pimenova book “The monarchy and the French court society at the end of the Old Regime”, which consists of five chapters, which includes twenty-five articles. These articles were written during last 20 years. L.A. Pimenova has studied political, social, economic and religious aspects of the French state and society during some decades before the Revolution of the 18^th century. The author of this paper pays the main attention to political processes whose effect was the crisis of the absolute monarchy.
